I bought this skeleton for a foundational kinesiology class that requires a fake skeleton, which we merely need to affect in origins and attachments of uncommon muscle groups.This skeleton was not used for a toy and only use for the 3 assignments I needed to hand in.So basically the treatment was LIGHT.I needed primarily to transport the contrivance back and into the planet to lecture to submit the machinate and as mentioned higher than affect this in.The base comes off the unit, and is very unstable, unless you use duck tape.Both arms came off, the head popped off, the wire attachments to hold on the appendages came off one by one, and so my last submission was a skeleton, with NO head, no arms and 2 legs.I had to rewire one of them on and then the other arm, I had to tuck into the hole in the hip socket! The last 2 submissions to the professor, were exceptionally awkward, as my skeleton was the only one that was damaged in the administer. I did get an A for the class, but I can't use this skeleton over again. It did not even last for 3 months!!! Sad, American made would probably have been a best move!In view of the fact that the manufactured goods was purchased in September, no refund for me! Alas, I'll stick with the lecture bookstore in the future!Don't disturb, it won't didn't even last 3 months!!!By the way, the university bookstore carries Mr. Thrifty. No one who purchased EITHER size, had the issues I had with faulty manufacturing. They all can use theirs over again!

It took me a minute to identify just what bothers me about this skeleton, but here it is: the ribs don't angle not working from posterior to anterior. As a consequence he looks be fond of he's ceaselessly land in a huge, exaggerated breath and his clavicles are up below his chin. Also loads of of the bones do not move in anatomically correct ways because of the way the joints are put together.So not the best for appreciative establishment function or additional relationships between bones or landmarks as needed for radiographic positioning. On the additional hand, all the bones and landmarks are represented. It's perfect for examining the bones in isolation. This skeleton is also numbered and came with a sheet to help the student learn the names of the bones. So the underside line is, if you are looking for an anatomic develop this is the guy for you. If you need to study the physiology or interrelationships within the skeleton you may need something else - but you will certainly pay more. This is a compromise between deprivation and accuracy.I have submitted approximately images that will hopefully grant more detail than the amazon photo. I included the cat for size comparison - I reflect this skeleton is the perfect size, he wasn't as big as I thought he'd be based on the measurements.
