Ron Bestlab "Ron Bestlab"A great choice of bond types and angles, plenty to actually grasp your VESPR scheme in a visusal style. You might not be inflicted with sufficient to make each bond category out there, but most of them are covered. People permanently want extra carbons, and there are only 6, but you can permanently use approximately of the other colors as carbons if the bond angles are correct. If not I've no complaints with the amount of molecules you can make with the set.So why 4/5 stars? Since the set is extremely tiresome to put together and take apart at initially. Each piece takes a great take care of business of break down to snap together, extremely nearly painfully so, at that calculate just as greatly break down to pull apart. After a few times the pieces get a modest easier to use, but at that calculate they feel like they might not hold as well afterwords. The pieces be inflicted with all held so far, but I don't admit with the intention of the set would stand up well to being and being of use. MrCrobosI purchased this set for my 8 year old son. With the understanding that I could not lecture him no matter what thing about Chemistry. Ha, ha. I'm not one of those parents trying to cultivate a genius. He's just into some science programs right now where the host was playing with molecules and he decided it looked like fun and asked for something so he could make his own models. I thought it would be a good addendum to our line-up of "learning toys." I did not want some kind of disposable styrofoam and stilted dowel set. This kit has seen day after day use since we expected it about a week ago (without my prompting) and is standing up well. It is difficult at era for my son to get the bond sections in all the way on the atoms, but as we are working on his communication skills and learning that it is always okay to request help (even if the help is just verbal guidance on how to complete a task on his own), this is more of a boon than a disturb. My son is apt to become non-verbal in certain stressful situations (like in a classroom full of kids). I can see this kit lasting and growing with my sons interest in the sciences, even if it may get shelved for extended periods of time. A worthwhile investment for stimulating a developing mind.

Also, the at the initiation few era that you use this, the balls and connectors are actually tiresome to pull away from each additional until you break it in.

MrsovDoesn't bend or rotate well to explore chair structures or isomers, so not as useful in my organic chemistry class as I had hoped. Even if, for more basic and before education, or for younger students, it is strongly made, has bounty of pieces, and brushwood collectively/comes apart well (after a modest "contravention in").

Originally I purchased this for our Home School Chemistry class, but it didn't take greatly calculate for the children to figure out with the intention of this was just as greatly fun as a toy. My son got it out and started making chemical models from the enclosed directions. At that calculate my husband got caught up and started discussing opposing navy and how the molecule would contort itself . I didn't be inflicted with to break down anyone to use it, it came extremely genuinely. It is well built. The models are easy sufficient for my 13 year old to make. I am proud of this hold and will be buying a further so we can make larger models. This kit is fine for beginning chemistry- small molecules and up to a 6- carbon thread. After with the intention of you need extra atoms and will need a larger kit. Although- just buying two of these would suit our purposes.

deirdreFor some reason, I imagined this to be a very small, pocket-sized set. It is not. The hydrogen molecules are about mineral-sized and a good size for being able to visualize ring-flipping and stereochemistry. I was also worried that there were only 6 carbons in this set, but it seems adequate so far for my Organic Chemistry class. It's a little bit of a workout to put these together as they are brand new, but I think they will get easier over time or I will get sick of it and grease it.

The point amount of this skull was excellent. Not a bump, nook or fracture overlooked. That said, it is nice to look at but you can't play with it. It comes (cascade) away from each other exceptionally easy. The fasteners aren't travelable for its purpose. The entire skull basically crumbles in your hands if any one cut is indifferent, rendering it a waste of time to use as a examine aid. The facial bones also do not come together well, leaving gaps and overlaps everywhere there shouldn't be. Too tiresome to use as a examine aid. Disappointment compelling into account the fee tag.
