The Orange rolled to a 77-53 win over Western Michigan in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday.

Second half

Syracuse 56, WMU 35 (11:41): Remember those offensive struggles. They're gone for at least a day. The Orange is 21-for-37 (56.8 percent) from the field this afternoon. Its 6-for-8 in the second half.

Syracuse 50, WMU 28 (15:06): Looks like Trevor Cooney's ankle is just fine. He's is up to 18 points after a four-point play. Jerami Grant's back seems OK as well after he posterized a Western Michigan player on a dunk.

Syracuse 40, WMU 21 (halftime): It's all Orange so far. Trevor Cooney leads SU with 12 points on 3-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Tyler Ennis has 11 points, including a pretty spin move on a fastbeak for a layup. Shayne Whittington and David Brown lead WMU with 5 points apiece.

Syracuse 31, WMU 13 (3:57): Tyler Ennis knocks dow a 3-pointer as the Orange continues to roll. Ennis and Cooney lead the way with 9 points. A clicking backcourt seems to solve the Orange's offensive woes.
