My class was culture about the three types of rocks and this set apposite our needs well. I divided them between three trays for hands-on exploration. The kids loved it.

We were very pleased with this set when we bought it for our first grader as a Christmas gift. He comes home with all kinds of rocks off the teach playground on very near a daily basis, so we knew this would be right up his alley. He took it to teach for show-and-tell the first week he was back to teach off celebration break. The rocks are actually appealing and it comes with a chart recounting each. There are stickers on the rocks that are meant to coincide with the rock chart, but they don't stick well as you can infer, due to the rock "dust". We took them off and used an fast marker as a substitution for. This way there's no worry of stickers diminishing off, being paid lost and misidentifying the rocks. The "magnifying glass" that comes with the set is toy like and doesn't actually serve it's function. Even if, our first grader doesn't find it de rigueur to use. We have a real magnifying glass when he wants to take a faster look. By and large, we are very happy with this set.

I just bought this kit for my son which I homeschool. I sought after a austere kit to get ongoing with. It shipped promptly and I was very pleased with my hold. The magnifier helped us take a closer look and the built-in booklet gave basic in rank we discussed while culture about each rock. The rocks were labeled so it was quite easy to know which was which and all the rocks were in good shape up. It's a great starter pack at a down descent price and at home much before than probable, which was a big plus for us. Thank you!

As mentioned in a uncommon assess, the stickers they aid pro the facts are perfect nonsense.Including the intention of understood, the answer's sweet caring and the rock samples are a clad size. It's straightforward ample to set the kit in trade to rights as the stickers get on to crossed.I old this in a 5th grade class to trade show them innumerable types of rocks. They had enjoyable and cultured. Mission accomplished. It's a clad regard pro the fee you're paying. I wouldn't display it's the most excellent rock bring collectively made known here, save pro it's functional and has a kind diversity.

specimens were good but stickers did not stick well at all so i wrote number on the rock using a black felt tip. Nothing more than a bunch of rocks if you cannot coordinate number with rock type. Need better adhesive on facts

OK, it's just a box of rocks in a simple display with a very small (and low-cost) magnifying glass and a modest supplementary in rank pamphlet. It arrived very quickly and was packed well. A number of the rock labels were missing but they're not likely to stay affixed for very long anyway with small hands investigating them. You can easily identify the specimens by the picture on the box. My grandkids enjoyed looking at them and I was able to help point out a few things. To supplement the included in rank, visit almost any website and you can expound upon the specimens. I'd plan on by your own magnifying glass for no matter what thing like a close examination even if. There was no problem here: we got what was described and it's a nice, very basic introductory try out. A minor point: the box is very difficult for modest hands to open unaided, but that helped get some adult involvement in the process. As I said, it's OK and as advertised.

This rock pool was to supplement a element I was instruction. I am satisfied including this hold, the rocks are a clad mass for students to call and inspect extra painstakingly.

If you want small, practically priced kits to cover the basics, these are a great option. Specimens are large ample to see point, and they come in a sturdy cardboard box with on bad terms fake tray. Storage space isn't an issue in these compact kits.
