I approved this set about a year ago and it is NOT wood. It is made from what looks like composite dense cardboard. The arch fell off a shelf about 4 feet above the baffle and 2 of the pieces broke and the support organize broke into 2 pieces. Do not dissipate your time ordering this manufactured goods, you will not be fortunate...

I reflect this arch is sweet neat. Yes, it is made of pressed wood particles rather than "real" wood, but that doesn't bother me. I am a structural persuade, and I reflect this is a splendid demonstration of how an arch works. It was also fun to assemble. My only gripe is that the box does not include a picture of the arch, so it took a even as to figure out which pieces to put everywhere. I in black and colorless the picture off of the Amazon website, and will keep it with the arch.
